All Other Nights - Horn - this historical novel brings the reader into the times of the Civil War. Teenage Jacob Rappaport runs away from home to avoid an arranged marriage and ends up as a spy for the Union Army. Love, betrayal, slaves, spys, sex, fire and devotion are all themes in this coming of age novel.
Wherever You Go - Leegant - set in modern day Israel, this book weaves together the story of three Americans. Yona, the sister of a settler, who has come to make peace. Marc, whose newfound orthodoxy saved him from drugs years before, but who is now doubting his faith. And Aaron, the son of a famous holocaust writer, who wants to make a name for himself with a dramatic gesture.

Michal - Jill Eileen Smith - a romance novel set in biblical times. Very light reading.
